Huey Newton-Wiz Khalifa & Currency

You may think I added this song because of its historical relevance. There isnt any however. Yes Huey Newton was the famous founder of the Black Panther Party but the song isnt about him. Idk what its about probably weed knowing the artists involved. But give it a listen.

SN: I was kinda disappointed that #freewiz lasted a few hours lol

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy Review

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is epic. That is the easiest way to explain the newest album from Kanye West. Ye has hyped this album to tremendous proportions and it doesn't disappoint. Kanye has stayed in the news for the last few months and he has kept the name of his album on the tongues of even his harshest critics. MBDTF may seem like a mouthful but the album's lengthy name is a great intro to the dark album by the now legendary artist. Kanye positioned this album to go down in history. Although it may seem like you have heard most of this album, the leaks have not done justice to this masterfully done album. The closest example to this album is Late Registration. It is as dark and orchestral as LR but Kanye's sound seems to have more purpose now. Mr. West explores fame and opens up more peeks into his troubled life. This album is the best album of this year and is probably one of Kanye's best. It is no doubt that Kanye West is now officially a legend in music. All of his albums are classics and this album adds to the story of one of the most complex and controversial artists(he is a fucking artist) of this decade and possibly ever.

Favorite Tracks: Dark Fantasy, Gorgeous, Power, All of the Lights,Monster, So Appalled, Runaway, Hell Of a Life, Blame Game, Lost in the World (yes that is the entire cd-they are all good tracks

Rating-5 spliffs (classic)

While I was gone

First of sorry. Second of all I'm trying to do better. I'm having a burst of motivation and I've decided to resurrect my blog. I've been busy lately and I've been going through the frustration of school and heartbreak(what's new lol). A couple of weeks ago I had two thoughts. 1. I should completely dismantle my blog and never write on it again. 2. If I do start it again I should do weekly/bi-weekly posts instead of worrying about it everyday. Thought 1 is off the table for now but Thought 2 is something I am still considering. But anyway while we were gone: Cam Newton has been accused of taking money(who cares), Conan's new show started(awesome), Democrats lost the house(fuck), Keith Olbermann got fired and rehired in a matter of 3 days(cool), Kid Cudi dropped his album(amazing check review below this), and other shit. The biggest thing has been the amazing Mr. West. In the past few months, Ye has dominated the world. He released a movie(fucking amazing). He has dominated fridays with his GOOD Fridays(amazing). He has ended his beef with George W. and started one with the Today Show(F*** Matt Lauer). He also has performed on a airplane, came out of the floor on the Ellen Show, taken over an issue of XXL, and prepared the world for possibly his best album ever. Kanye West is the biggest star in America. And that pretty much sums it up so.....peace

Album Review: Kid Cudi's MOTM II: The Legend of Mr. Rager

I am by all accounts a huge Kid Cudi Fan. I have been since I heard Day N' Nite my freshman year of college. I honestly believe that is one of the most original artists(in any genre) to have come out in the last few years. He mixes so many genres and sounds to develop his completely original sound. He has perfected his sound in his new album Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. The album dives deeper into the mind of Mr. Mescudi and develops his own legend at the same time. The subject matter of the album includes: drug addiction, depression, women, parties, and all the trappings of young people in America. This is what makes Kid Cudi so original. He is exactly like many of us in the way he talks, acts, and dresses. He is the new America that everyone under 27 lives in. Our Generation is misunderstood by all the middle aged and elderly people in this country. And like us Kid Cudi is misunderstood by alot of the elders in hip-hop. Kid Cudi is the Youth in this country. He is influenced by more than just hip-hop and stereotypical black youth culture. In our America that is reality. I have just as many white friends as black friends. The divisions in America are coming down and albums like this are examples of that. So yeah go buy this album....

SN: Like Lil' Wayne.....I'mmmmm baccccckkkkk. :)
