If you judge the above picture, many of you will say yeah. But if I am a hipster I've been one since 8th grade. Therefore by definition am I a Hipster? For the majority of my life I have taken pride in the fact of my uniqueness. I listened to indie rock and alternative rock as much as I listened to Rap and all the forms of Hip Hop. My favorite shoes have always been converse, I love tees, and I prefer fitted jeans over baggy jeans. And I was that way before other black kids were doing it. They used to joke on me and call me "white" but now the same people jocking my swag. But with that being said I like and respect the hipster movement. People dress better, listen to better music, and get along with people better. But there are negatives: like everyone smokes weed now(and that's not cool. Not that smoking weed isnt cool but everyone doing it isnt cool lol) and everyone tries to be pseudo-intellectual. I get that you look up stuff on wikipedia and you try to watch politics but you are not cool. If you don't know what the hell you are talking about you look like an ass to people who do know stuff. But I do believe that the whole hipster movement will help people get along. It crosses racial, sexual, and gender lines. People dress the same and listen to the same stuff, I mean that might not be an end to discrimination or an end to hate but its a good start. So am I a hipster? No but I respect it I guess...
