Eminem has returned. Although Relapse was offered as his official return to rap, even Eminem will tell you it had something missing. And Eminem does tell the listener to his numerous times that he is sorry for putting out a mediocre album. But Recovery seems to be an appropriate title for this album. Eminem is evolving in a man. Gone are the days of "Kill You" in which he so elegantly said "Do you think I won't choke no whore, til the vocal chords don't work in her throat no more?". The 2010 version of Eminem is still crazy but not as deranged. He first describes himself as a father, then an addict, and then most importantly to the public- a role model. Say what you will about Marshall, but he is an example of what you can become by overcoming. And this album seems to be his most personal since the Eminem Show. He speaks more about his life and where he is going. And the best part about the album is the weird accent from Rebirth is gone. So all in all I do like Recovery. It also is a great break from the bullshit rap offered for the most part today. This album leaked but I encourage everyone to buy it June 22...peace
