Legalize It? Really?

First let me say this I do not condone any illegal behavior and I do not smoke marijuana. Also I am not an expert I'm just interested. But I hear, all the time, "Weed should be legal" which is usually followed "dude" or "man". Then the other statement is usually "The only reason the government won't is because they can't tax it" which is crazy, the government could tax toilet usage if they wanted. So the debate is why isn't it legal and the question is do you really want it legal? The pros of legalization would include: more tax dollars, decriminalization of non violent marijuana crimes, and alot of high people. But the cons for marijuana advocates could break their heart. Although people would benefit from selling weed they would have to have a real legit business and alot of permits. Also it would be no clear way of telling how much weed you could smoke and drive and be in public. And the worst thing would be the destruction of marijuana culture. Movies like: Up in Smoke, Harold & Kumar, How High, and every other weed movie would not be as funny. Also alot of reggae, rap, and jazz would lose their risqueness. Weed sub-culture would no longer be fun or funny. Most people would smoke weed with no sense of the history and pride of smoking, it would be lame. And then no one would smoke, weed sells would plummet, and the dream of weed legalization would end in disaster. But of course this is hypothetical and told by a conspiracy theorist but it is very likely this could happen. But the biggest con against legalization is the government. Can you imagine how horrible the Amercian Government would make marijuana if it was legal. Look at what they did to tobacco. Cigarettes and tobacco products are so bad for you people who don't even smoke get cancer. So imagine how horrible a joint and blunt would be for you. So i know i have crushed a dream for many of you but hey dont stop believing lol Keep Toking...Happy 420....
