New Song: Love Lockdown

I'm sure you have heard this song lately. Kanye performed it at the VMAs. And since then i haven't been able to get it out of my head. The song is so catchy and it actually shows emotion. And this is another song with autotone used( or the T-Pain robot voice). Although i usually hate songs with it I like this song. But with it artist are ushering a new genre. Imma call it New Wave Rap. It has elements that can be found in 80s new wave like the autotone and they add something completely new to the able of hip-hop. I did think it was just a fad but it looks like it may be around long enough to be a sub-genre...

TRL Cancelled???

I know some of you are saying its about time. I kinda agree also. TRL is the perfect example of how music has become all about sound clips and ringtones. But TRL is amazing in the different careers started in its span. Without TRL there would be no Brittany Spears( damn ok one mistake) Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Hanson(lmao) or Blink 182. But the people who most benifieted from Total Request Live were rappers. Diddy, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, The Game, Eminem, Ja Rule(lol) and many other rappers would have never become the superstars they are without it. But the person to most benefit from it was Carson Daily. People would not give a fuck who he is without TRL which he went on to produce. Also TRL's format became the basis for 106 and Park( Except 106 was 10x better...at least w/ AJ & Free but thats another story). So if TRL hadnt have become so popular we would have BET ripping of every MTV show except making it worst( Thats another story too & look for it soon). But w/ TRL gone we ask the question will MTV ever show music videos again? At Full Length? Probably Not, but the most important question is will MTV bring back Yo! MTV Raps? One can only pray LOL........

Classic: Wu- Tang Clan Enter The 36 Chambers

Can It Be That It Was All So Simple Then? They once asked us this but then they reflected on the Early 80s/Late 70s. But know in the lackluster state of hip hop I ponder this question and this is the perfect album to do this with. Enter the 36 Chambers is possibly the greatest album done by a group more than two people. Well at least in Hip-Hop. 36 Chambers pays tribute to the streets, Islam & Religon, and Chinese Culture among other things. They also show such a diversity within the 9 MCs which make up the group. The RZA, The GZA, , Method Man, Masta Killa, Inspector Deck, Ghostface Killa, Raekwon The Chef, U-God, and the late great Ol' Dirty Bastard are some of the greatest to touch the mic. The album brought back Rap to its hop in NYC. Also it brought a whole new following to the music- the geek. Lyrics on Chess, Religon, and Kung Fu Movies bring a following of new listeners in itself. But the album has many great songs in the 13 Tracks. Of Those: Shame On A Nigga, Can It Be All Simple, Protect Your Neck, and the essential to all true moneymakers- C.R.E.A.M(Cash Rules Everything Around Me) to name a few. Simply Put 36 Chambers is a must have. Also Remember how they stated it best. "Wu-Tang Ain't Nuthin To Fuck Wit' "....

John McCain Invented..... the Blackberry????

You know I love politics. Mainly because of the circus that exist. Of all the lies I've heard this campaign like Barack Obama wants to raise everyones taxes( yeah if everyone is the top 5% of moneymakers in the US), or that Barack Obama is a Muslim or not a natural born American Citizen, or my favorite Obama wants to teach kids about sex before they can read in Kindergarten(Horrible lie) or any good thing about Palin. But this by far is the most ridiculus. One of John McCain's reps said he was instumental in creating the Blackberry???? Wtf you expect me to believe the same person who doesnt know how to check his email created the fundemtal business PDA. I have a BlackBerry Curve. I've had it for 5 Months and I still don't know how to do everything. So to assume that this 73 y.o. created this is a slap in the face to everybody lol. BUt this shows how petty that McCain is. His people lie about anything. Jus how they lied about his crowds at rallies and other buffoonery. Please I beg you do not vote for McCain/Palin. If this isnt enough read my other campaign articles.

Featured Lady: Lil' Mama

Some have said she is too much of a tom boy to be cute. She is mad cute best believe. She has big eyes and nice lips( i love it lol) and most importantly she can rock the mic. To those who think she is just that girl from Lipgloss you are tripping. She has proved time and time again she can spit. The first thing to make me realize this was her freestyle in a cypher at the BET Hip Hop Awards last year. She spit with Wyclef, Twista, and DJ Premier(Primo as we in hip hop call him) on the turntables. And with all that she held her own. And another thing was her "A Milli" freestyle for 3 and 1/2 minutes she rocked the mic hard. Even Lil' Wayne said after Jay-Z she had the best version of the tons of freestyles to the beat. Lil' Mama is gonna be here for a while and she will be better looking each time you see here lol.

Why Sarah Palin is he worst choice for VP...

Look lets get this on the table, it is not because she is a women. But it is because she the wrong woman for the job. First of all, She has a total of 2 years in a state office. 2 years? Obama and McCain have been running for President for almost 2 years. Another reason is she seems to know nothing about politics and is therefore basically a token. Yes I said it a token. Why do you think they chose her. Lets accept fact for fact she is a pretty white lady. And she is young and a republican. That is every southern and redneck man's fantasy. lol. But in all seriousness she hasnt talked about anything other than herself and yet people are killing themselves to get to here. Fuck that. I dont vote on personalities but politics. Also another reason i feel that this is a stupid pick Republicans pretty much are treating women like they are the dumbest people. Do you really think that Hilary Clinton Supporters want a women who is against women rights like abortion, equal pay, and etc. Hell No. And I'm suprised more dont say that. But the real reason I dont like Palin as a VP is McCain can die anyday. Now that may offend some of you but lets face facts. The average person in america can expect to die around 70. John McCain is 73. That means he can die anyday from now on. Thats too old which make me believe further that his old ass knew better to protect his rep. Think about that shit....

My President is Black...

He is not my president because of his race but his policies. But to say I was not inspired and amazed Thursday would be a lie. First of all, even after all this time I was amazed that on that stage was someone who anscestors came from the place mine did. And I was amazed that i was watching the election of possibly the first black president. To the people who read this blog of other races its hard to explain. We never had someone this close. That inspired this many people. I love my country for the fact that we went from 45 years ago not being able to vote fairly to having someone of African descent closing in on the White House. I think about how many older black people cried for those 50 minutes and had great dreams on that night. Because they never thought they would live to see a black man be a serious canidate. I honestly a couple years ago thought that i would have grey in my hair by the time i saw one. But I might see a black person elected for president before im 20. And its a lot of people talking about death to try and bring our hopes down. But like the Bible says "God has not given us a spirit of fear..." We will not be influenced by fear in our votes. It is destiny. Conservatives love to see you afraid. That way you live out of fear in everthing you do. Out of fear comes hate. So what will you do. Hopefully vote for a change. And i really hate how people are making Change to be a four letter word. Change in this case is hope, unity, and intelligence. Why do people say he is too smart? Its the highest level in the country. Our leader better be. And just to throw this in... Lets play a game. All right we are gonna have 3 historical leaders and say who you would choose based on descriptions... 1st we have an adulterer, who is by some people was considered a socialist democrat, and was from a powerful family, 2nd we have a possible racist, who quite possibly was a homosexual, and had very little experience as a leader, and 3rd we have a war veteran, a vegetarian, a devout christian, and had monogomous relationship with his wife. To all you said you would choose Leader 1 you said no to Franklin Roosevelt, to those who said no to 2 you said no to Abraham Lincoln. So all you who said the war veteran, who is a devout christian who was faithful to his wife was the best leader you chose.......... Adolf Hitler. Moral of the story don't believe McCain's hype.
